Electric Fan

The electric fan was developed in 1882 by Schuyler Skaats Wheeler. It was useful in cooling off on hot days before air conditioning came around.

Coca Cola

Coca Cola was invented by Dr. John Pemberton in Georgia. It originally contained extracs of cocaine and caffeine, but now is made with only caffeine.

The Kodak Camera

The Kodak camera was invented in 1888 by George Eastman and Harry Strong in New York. It combined new techniques and a 100 roll exposure capability.

The Zipper

The inventors of the zipper were Whitcomb Judson and Gideon Sundback. The zipper was was originally called the 'clasp-locker' until the modern zipper was produced and then it changed names.

Electric Stove

The original electric stove was made by an electric heating company called The Carpenter Electric Heating Manufacturing Co. in 1891, but was not patented until William Hadaway did in 1896.
